Workshop With EDI Students

14 OCTOBER 2014 AND 4 APRIL 2015 | WORKSHOP

Conflictorium conducted a one-day session with twenty students of the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI). The workshop held a series of discussions revolving around topics such as, ‘Human Rights’ and ‘Art practice’.  Museum director of Conflictorium, Avni Sethi gave a talk on the relationship between ‘Art practice’ and its socio-cultural relevance. The talk laid out the idea of a proportional bond between ‘Art’ and ‘Society’. It was explored through a discourse on certain historic episodes of India that witnessed the convergence of the two extremes. The latter half of the workshop progressed into an interactive session where the students of EDI participated by presenting their individual opinions on how ‘cultures’ build identities and what are the different elements that enable the process of identifying ‘cultural differences’.
