Sanctuary by Klaudia Opoka

12 JANUARY 2019 | INSTALLATION

Klaudia Opoka is an emerging artist from Cracow, Poland. With a background in Graphic Designing and Intermedia, she focuses on shedding light on social and political issues through art using analogue and new media devices. Inspired by the museum and the locality it is situated in, she built a sanctuary consisting of the objects that people find important and were willing to bring and share in the gallery space on the first floor of our museum. The purpose of the action was to pull the community together, explore different narratives and create a safe space where everyone is welcomed and accepted.
