Suchindran B.N, Advocate and Associate Fellow, Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy talked about the ‘Making of India’ on 26th Nov (the day our Constitution was adopted) on the transfer of power and integration of Indian states.
Suchindran is a litigating advocate with over 10 years of practice at the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court of India and an Associate Fellow with the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. After graduation from ILS Law College, Pune he ‘devilled’ in the chambers of Senior Advocate Arvind P. Datar. He has appeared in a wide range of matters including the constitutional challenge to the National Company Law Tribunal, a matter involving the interpretation of the statutory powers of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board, and the entry of foreign law firms. He is keen and has retained a keen interest in the legal and political history of the constitution of India. He assisted Vidhi and the High-Level Committee to review the institutionalisation of arbitration mechanism in India chaired by Justice B.N. Srikrishna.
