Gopal Italia a native of Bhavnagar, worked as a Lok Rakshak jawan in Gujarat Police and as a clerk later in the Revenue Department.

In response to growing violence around religious/political identities, he began performing an alternative ‘Katha’. His work is followed widely and contested often. The talk revolved around the intersection of law and its cultural pervasiveness.

The talk was part of exhibition Article 19(1)a.
