‘How Do I Show The Ocean Space You Carried Inside You’ is a film made by Abeer Khan and Bharti Kapadia. The film explores the life and work of the Gujarati poet, playwright, director and actor Bhadrakant Zaveri, who was fatally injured in a bomb blast in 1993. Through Bhadrakant’s poems and glimpses from his final play, the film also becomes a meditation on the political events of the time, such as growing consumerism, pollution, the Bhagalpur blindings, the Emergency – and on the spirit of (and desire for) freedom, both artistic and personal.
