Yogesh Maitreya is a poet, translator, and essayist. He has also translated the first volume of Ambedkarite Movement After Ambedkar, authored by J.V. Pawar in Marathi to English. His first poetry collection The Bridge of Migration was published in 2017. Yogesh is also a publisher at Panther’s Paw Publication.

This session focused on briefly discussing Dalit poetry from Maharashtra and its translation to English. Yogesh Maitreya also recited poems from the book, ‘Broken Man’, a collection of Marathi poems by Loknath Yashwant, translated in English by Dr K. Jamanadas and Yogesh Maitreya and published by Panther’s Paw Publication, 2018.
