31 JANUARY TO 2 FEBRUARY 2014 | EXHIBITION | IN COLLABORATION WITH RIVERSIDE SCHOOL
Tape, sunglasses, belt. We use these every day in our lives. However, time has proven that these common tools have evolved into instruments of conflict. Rather than conflict just being identified in poverty, riots, and other global issues, conflict can also be found in the misuse or abuse of a product. The ‘Ab-Use’ Exhibition, created by students of The Riverside School, aims to present an array of work that sheds light on the interpretations of the flip-side of some of the most common products used. The projects range from the adolescent issue of gossip to the friction of society and anonymity and should leave viewers reexamining conflict that lies right under our noses and at our fingertips.
